Kaia Zak was fortunate to be introduced to Bowen Technique while she was waiting for traditional medical treatment to bladder and kidney problems. After only 3 treatments she was enjoyed a truly remarkable improvement and her life became pain free. Kaia was so over whelmed by the power of Bowen that she has embarked on a career as a full time practitioner.
Kaia is a Bowen therapist certified by the Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia (BTAA) and registered with both the BTAA and the Bowen Association of the UK.
What is Bowen?
A gentle form of body work in which very subtle moves performed over the muscles and connective tissue send messages deep into the body, retrieving cellular memory of a relaxed, balanced way of well-being.
Treatment
The first session will take an hour during which your medical history, diet and fluid intake and presenting conditon/s will be discussed. The session will also include the first treatment.
Subsequent visits will take between 30 and 45 minutes, depending on the progress. Two to three sessions spaced a week apart may be sufficient to help ease many problems, but up to six sessions may be required. Some patients return on a semi-regular basis for routine treatments to help keep their body in balance.
Patients are advised to forego having other treamtments done immediately before or for the week following a Bowen session as these treatments could interfere with the work.
