Sam Kankanamge Bsc (Hons) Osteo, DPO, Dip.Acu is a qualified Osteopath registered with the General Osteopathic Council with specialist postgraduate qualifications in Paediatric Cranial Osteopathy and Acupuncture.
Sam has over 20 years experience treating newborns to adults, assisting individuals and families in the UK and internationally. He uniquely combines western and eastern philosophy in his treatment methods using a range of therapies including traditional acupuncture, cranial osteopathy, nutritional medicine and energetic healing tailored to the needs of the individual.
Sam's experience is well recognised having taught post-graduate osteopathy at the Osteopathic Centre for Children. He has also founded charity based Osteopathic Children Centres in both London and Sri Lanka that reach out to children in need. His vision is to provide and promote holistic health care from his Breath of Life Natural Health Centre in the West End. In addition he also treats patients at his satelite clinics in Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles and Columbo, Sri Lanka.
Sam is registered with BUPA, PPP and all major health insurances and has full professional indemnity insurance cover.
Sam initially studied acupuncture in Sri Lanka at the International Open University for complementary medicine in Colombo South General Hospital between 1988 and 1992, where he went on to run his own clinic and teach acupuncture. Sam furthered his academic studies by completing the undergraduate degree at the British School of Osteopathy in 1997. He then completed the post graduate diploma at the London Osteopathic Centre for Children and taught Msc level Paediatric Osteopathy at the BSO.
Sam has trained and worked with leading authorities in acupuncture and osteopathy across China, Sri Lanka, Australia, Europe and the United States.
